How it works
An email, one scan away
The code holds a mailto: link with your address and, if you like, a subject and a message. Phone cameras recognize it and open the mail app with everything filled in, so people don’t have to type an address they might get wrong.
Good uses:
- Feedback and reviews: a code on receipts, menus or packaging.
- Support: "scan to email us" with the order number already in the subject.
- Events and sign-ups: an email to the organizer with "Count me in" as the message.
Want people to save your details instead? Use a vCard QR code.

Frequently asked questions
What happens when someone scans the code?
Their phone opens a new email in their mail app, with the address, subject and message already filled in. Nothing is sent automatically: they can still edit the message, and it only goes out when they tap Send.
Can I add more than one recipient?
Yes. Separate the addresses with commas. Most mail apps put all of them in the To field.
How long can the message be?
A few sentences work best. Everything is stored inside the code, so a longer message makes the pattern denser and harder to scan, especially when printed small.
Is my email address sent to QRCraftr?
No. The QR code is created in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded or saved.
